Gear Gadget collects minimal data. We do not require accounts, logins, or personal information to use the kit builder.

Analytics

We use PostHog to understand how people use the site. This collects:

  • Pages visited and actions taken (e.g., building a kit, clicking a product link)
  • General device and browser information
  • Approximate location (country/region level, not precise)

PostHog does not collect your name, email, or other personally identifiable information through our analytics setup.

Email subscription

If you voluntarily sign up for email updates, your email address is stored by Beehiiv, our email service provider. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

Affiliate links

Product links on this site are affiliate links. When you click a link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission. These links may set cookies on the merchant's site (e.g., Amazon) to track the referral. We do not control those cookies — refer to the merchant's privacy policy for details.
